I grew up with a grandfather who wrote Chinese calligraphy, and I've always admired the power of the brush stroke. Like writing Chinese caligraphy, letting your mind fill in spaces is this style of this fashion illustration. This piece captures the fun of Anna Sui's gown. I saw this dress and knew it was simple yet powerful. I love her gesture and quirky uneven hairdo. Fashion sometimes is not meant to be so "perfect".
